THE PREDICTION
Wales have it tough in their second Autumn Nations Series test against South Africa after such a brutal defeat at the hands of New Zealand last weekend. Having gone in 6-18 at half-time they will have hoped for better than a second-half collapse but injuries to key personnel and some questionable decisions cost them with odds already stacked against them. The loss of talismanic leader Alun Wyn Jones to a shoulder injury is a huge blow that looks like it may also steal him from Six Nations duty next March - although he has beaten injury deadlines before. South Africa could not take their Lions Series winning form into the Rugby Championship back in September, where they came third behind Australia and champions New Zealand after six matches played. They won a dead rubber 31-29 against the All Blacks last time out and both of their meetings with Argentina, with that form likely more than enough to snatch this at the Principality.
Wales have rarely been such underdogs at home but the return of stars like Dan Biggar and Louis Rees-Zammit makes this look closer than some are expecting. Taking South Africa to cover -10 seems a suitably cautious move here.
