- Hull FC failed to respond to their first loss of the season against St. Helens as they suffered again when travelling to Wigan last week and the Black and Whites now face another tough encounter as they host Catalans.
- Hull were poor with the ball last week and will need improvements in this contest but they will be buoyed by the return of Albert Kelly who is available after serving a two-match suspension and he is in line to make his first appearance of the season.
- The Black and Whites will also have Chris Satae back after he too completed a ban whilst the likes of Carlos Tuimavave, Manu Ma’u and Andre Savelio have a chance of returning to the fold following injuries.

- Catalans will come into this contest on the back of a week off after they were due to face St. Helens last week but that game was postponed due to Saints’ involvement in the World Club Challenge.
- That means the Dragons have played just two games so far this season and may be short of match fitness although they will be confident after collecting their first win of the year as they defeated Castleford in their last contest.
- Israel Folau made his debut in that game with the controversial Australian marking his first appearance with a try and he will be thankful to get back on the field as he attempts to work his way to full fitness.

Hull FC started the season with back-to-back wins but they have since lost their last two and they will be desperate to get back to winning ways as they host Catalans. The Dragons did not play last week and will have spent a lot of time on the training paddock but with just two games under their belt so far this season, the French outfit could be caught cold here. Hull are set to welcome back several important players and that should prove the difference for the hosts who are likely to come out on top.
