The World Club Challenge returns in 2023 and it will see NRL champions Penrith Panthers host Super League winners St. Helens. The Panthers will start as big favourites and TSZ has complied three reasons why Saints could cause an upset:
- St. Helens come into this having won the last four editions of the Super League Grand Final
- St. Helens have conceded fewer points in each of the last five seasons than any other Super League side
- St. Helens averaged just under 25 points per game in attack during the regular season of last year’s Super League campaign
