• The Panthers struggled to get going with the ball and found it hard to break down an energetic Broncos defence but Ivan Cleary has not panicked here and makes just one change with Scott Sorensen dropping out through a head knock.

THE PREDICTION

These two teams have been involved in some big contests over the past few years, notably the 2021 Grand Final. Penrith Panthers claimed the win that day and backed it up by defending their Premiership last time around. South Sydney Rabbitohs were one of their biggest threats once again last year and will be again this season. The Bunnies got their campaign off to a great start last week by defeating Cronulla Sharks and with the Panthers losing to Brisbane Broncos, there will be some pressure on the premiers. This could go either way and while the Panthers start as favourites, preference is for the Rabbitohs with the aid of a +8.5 start on the handicap owing to how they performed last week.
