THE PREDICTION
New South Wales secured the 2021 State of Origin series with another comfortable victory in game II and Queensland have it all to do to avoid a truly embarrassing whitewash. The third and final game will be played in Queensland once again owing to the COVID-19 outbreak in New South Wales, meaning the entire series has been played in Queensland and that will make a whitewash even more difficult to swallow. There is some hope for the host state with the Blues losing their first-choice halfback pairing in the form of Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai and with Kalyn Ponga back from injury at fullback for the Maroons, Queensland can at least come keep things close after losing 0-26 last time out and they can prevail with the benefit of a +14.5 start.
