England will be looking to build towards their series with Samoa as they take on France in this mid-season international. It is a squad missing their NRL stars and that gives it a very weakened feel while the French have gone stronger than in previous meetings between the two.

FRANCE VS ENGLAND PREDICTION

This is an extremely low-key mid-season contest and the game has been summed up by the unavailability of England head coach Shaun Wane who is unable to travel to the game for health reasons. It is a very different looking England side with lots of new faces but despite lacking their NRL stars, they should still have enough to overcome a France outfit that were hammered 64-0 in their previous encounter last year. They have named a stronger side this time around but they are still likely to be found wanting.

FRANCE VS ENGLAND TIP: ENGLAND -18
