TOMMY PAUL VS CARLOS ALCARAZ PREDICTION
American Tommy Paul is enjoying a good season but he once again finds Spanish starlet Carlos Alcaraz standing in his way once again as he bids for Olympic glory. It as Alcaraz who emerged victorious back at the second week of Wimbledon in four sets but Paul will not be phased by that as he has enjoyed some success against Alcaraz previously. He has won two of their five previous meetings over the last couple of years so he knows he can beat him.
That said, this is their first meeting on clay which is undoubtedly Alcaraz's strongest surface. The 21-year-old has yet to drop a set in the opening three rounds at Paris 2024 and he comes off another dominant display against Roman Safiullin in the round of 16.
Paul is as game as they come and will no doubt give it his best shot but it is hard to see any routes to victory here no matter how he approaches this one. Alcaraz is the better player and should win in straight sets once again.
