NOVAK DJOKOVIC VS STEFANOS TSITSIPAS PREDICTION

Novak Djokovic is ominously moving through the gears at the Paris 2024 Olympics and he is looking better with every match he plays. He eased past Dominik Koepfer in the round of 16 7-5 6-3 and he is benefitting from increasingly more time on court. If he fell narrowly short at Wimbledon a few week ago, he will be confident of adding to his sharpness with these rounds under his belt at Roland Garros.

This will unquestionably be his toughest test since the Wimbledon final against Alcaraz and Tsitsipas will be fired up to play him. Djokovic leads the head-to-head 11-2 and has won the last ten meetings which will likely have a psychological impact on the Greek 25-year-old.

Tsitsipas is one who wears his emotions on his sleeve and one could argue that that is the reason why he has yet to kick on and become a frequent Grand Slam winner. He has the talent but he will have to overcome the knowledge of being defeated so many times by Djokovic if he is to really push the Serb legend here.

Tsitsipas has had a relatively easy run so far in Paris and this is clearly his toughest task yet. He was playing well at the French Open before he ran into the dominant Carlos Alcaraz, though he will take confidence from his performances on clay this season.

He will push Djokovic all the way here but whether he can get through the psychological barrier and get the win appears unlikely. Djokovic is getting momentum in his play all the time and he should win what should be quite the battle.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC VS STEFANOS TSITSIPAS TIP: NOVAK DJOKOVIC TO WIN 2-1
