Of the 28 times the pair have faced off on clay, Nadal boasts 20 wins, which underlines the challenge facing Djokovic here. The worry from Nadal’s perspective is whether his body can withstand the relentless test that Djokovic will pose.
However, this being a three-set match may well play into the Spaniard’s favour, allowing him to maintain a high-level of performance throughout the entirety of the contest.
