25-year-old Casper Ruud will be hoping to go far in the Olympics and after finishing as a runner-up in three Grand Slam finals, he will be hoping to go one better in this tournament. Ruud was runner-up in the 2022 and 2023 French Open at Roland Garros and that will give him confidence he can really challenge for the Gold Medal here.
He eased past Taro Daniel in the first round and now he meets Italian Andrea Vavassori who he should have no issues disposing of. The 29-year-old is 207 in the rankings and with little experience at the highest level, he should not trouble Ruud at all. Expect a straight sets win for Ruud.
