As the weakest team in the competition in terms of the rankings, Zambia have shown some fight and pride in this campaign but they are on the verge of elimination as they face a German side that are not quite as far along on their rebuild as they maybe thought after their opener.

ZAMBIA PREVIEW: THRILLERS OF ZAMBIA
As mentioned, Zambia are the lowest ranked team in this competition but they have shown some real fight thus far. They began by going 3-0 down inside 25 minutes against the US before then having a player sent off but showed resilience to limit the score to just 3-0.
In their second game, against one of the major medal hopes Australia, Zambia were involved in an 11-goal thriller. They led 3-1 and 5-2 at times in their game against the Matilda’s before eventually succumbing to a dramatic 6-5 loss.
GERMANY PREVIEW: THE GOOD AND THE BAD
Germany, who crashed out in the group stages of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and remain under the interim management of Horst Hrubesch, began their campaign with a 3-0 hammering of Australia in what was a slick and impressive, counter-attacking performance.
However, in their second game, they suffered their own three-goal loss against the United States. They went behind early on before equalising in the 22nd minute but the USA then professionally swept them aside by four goals to one in what was a dominant display.
ZAMBIA VS GERMANY PREDICTION
Zambia showed defensive resilience to not concede with ten players for about an hour against what appears to be the best team in the competition, the United States, in their opener, before then putting five past one of the major medal hopes. Germany have also shown quite wide inconsistencies thus far but do appear to be trying to steer in the right direction and they should still progress in what could be a high-scoring encounter.
