MOROCCO PREVIEW: FINDING A WAY
Former Moroccan international Tarik Sektioui is in charge of a Moroccan side that will be expected to push for a medal in Paris. They began with a controversial 2-1 win over Argentina in their opener in which the Argentinians had a goal disallowed almost two and a half hours after it was scored due to the game being suspended.
However, they then suffered a dramatic defeat to Ukraine in which they conceded a 98th minute winner but recovered well to secure top spot in Group B by hammering Iraq by three goals to nil with all three goals coming inside 36 minutes.
USA PREVIEW: IMPROVED AMERICANS
The United States have now had their greatest Olympics with so many athletes missing out on gold medals already but the USMNT and USWNT are in contention for medals in the Football - albeit the men have some serious tests to go through.
Team USA began their Olympic campaign with a 3-0 hammering at the hands of France but all three goals came relatively late on before they then thrashed both New Zealand and Guinea by four goals to one and three goals to one respectively.
MOROCCO VS USA PREDICTION
This one could go either way in terms of the actual style of the match. Morocco have been entertaining and open, whilst the United States have been a little more rigid and defensive but very efficient and clinical in the final third. That said, the USA have allowed themselves to concede in as many games as Morocco at this tournament so perhaps aren’t as good defensively as they may believe themselves to be. Both teams scoring could well be a good bet for this one.
