In what appeared to be an even group on paper, Japan have sailed through and have already booked their place in the quarter-finals. Israel, on the other hand, find themselves in a precarious position after a dramatic 4-2 loss to Paraguay in their second game.

ISRAEL PREVIEW: UNDER PRESSURE ISRAELIS
Israel, under the management of Guy Luzon, were left frustrated after their opening game against a limited but stubborn Malian side that managed to eke out a 1-1 draw with the Israelis. That was followed up by a 4-2 loss to Paraguay.
In that game with Paraguay, they were 1-0 down but forced two equalising goals through key men Omri Gandelman and Oscar Gloukh, the latter making it 2-2 in the 88th minute, but they then went on to concede twice in second-half stoppage-time.
JAPAN PREVIEW: ROTATION LIKELY
As the heading suggests, the Japanese may well make a few changes for this one because, even though the group is not yet mathematically won, the only way in which they can be caught is if they lose, Paraguay defeat Mali and there is a nine-goal swing in the process.
The reason for that is because they got their hard part done in their opening game at Stade de Bordeaux in which they thrashed the Paraguayans by five goals to nil before then managing a 1-0 win over Mali with a late strike courtesy of Rihito Yamamoto.
ISRAEL VS JAPAN PREDICTION
Given the circumstances of this game, we could have what some would term as an ‘upset’. Israel came into the groups with high expectations as it appeared even on paper and their U21 side has been performing well of late, reaching the semi-finals of last year’s UEFA U21 European Championships. Well they showed attacking intent against Paraguay and against a Japan side looking to avoid injury or suspension, backing Guy Luzon’s side may well be the smart bet.
ISRAEL VS JAPAN TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE - ISRAEL TO WIN OR DRAW
