ZYGIMANTAS RAMASKA VS NATHAN FLETCHER LOWDOWN

Lithuanian fighter Zygimantas Ramaska brings a 9-2 record into his Octagon debut as the 27-year-old gets his shot in the UFC. Ramaska is riding a three-fight knockout win streak and he will be looking for the stoppage and to impress.

He meets Nathan Fletcher who hails from Liverpool in England. The Scouser is 8-1 and all his fights have taken place in Cage Warriors. The 26-year-old is now handed a golden opportunity in the biggest promotion around and he will be desperate to follow in the footsteps of his team-mate Paddy Pimblett.

ZYGIMANTAS RAMASKA VS NATHAN FLETCHER PREDICTION

This featherweight fight between two UFC newcomers kicks off the UFC Fight Night 242 card and it should be an entertaining one.

Both fighters have only ever gone to the scorecards once apiece in their pro MMS careers and they both actively pursue the stoppage.

Ramaska looks the more well-rounded of the two and he certainly possesses the greater power in his punching. Fletcher will likely look to take this fight to the ground at the earliest opportunity being a submission specialist. Six of his eight wins have come that way and four of them have come via rear-naked choke.

Ramaska will be confident of defending Fletcher on the ground but he will ideally keep the fight standing. That battle will likely decide the outcome of this fight and we marginally edge Ramaska to avoid Fletcher’s takedown attempts enough to potentially even get the stoppage.

PREDICTION: Zygimantas Ramaska to win
