ZACH REESE VS JOSE MEDINA LOWDOWN

Zach Reese has a relatively short professional MMA career despite being 30-years-old, but the American middleweight is intent on making up for any lost ground. Every single one of his eight fights so far has ended in the first round, including the sole fight he has lost. It is hard to see anything other than another explosive fight in the Apex on Saturday night.

Reese faces off against Jose ‘Chicho’ Media who hails from Bolivia. The 33-year-old comes into this fight with a 11-3 record and he comes off a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Magomed Gadzhiyasulov in Dana White’s Contender Series. Nevertheless, he has been handed an opportunity to make his debut in the UFC this weekend.

ZACH REESE VS JOSE MEDINA PREDICTION

This feels like the one fight on the prelims that the UFC matchmakers are all but guaranteeing fireworks with. Reese does not do boring fights and he will not waste any time trying to size up his opponent. That makes him somewhat vulnerable himself but tremendously entertaining to watch.

Chicho Medina has plenty of knockout power himself with eight of his 11 wins coming via KO/TKO. He will almost certainly stand and trade with Reese and will be confident in the fact that he has never been knocked out in his 14-fight career.

There is no way this fight goes the distance and betting on it going to the scorecards is the way forward in this one. Reese has to be favoured given his knockout power has translated into the UFC while there are more unknowns over Medina at this level. This is a fight not to miss and consider Reese to get the stoppage.

PREDICTION: Zach Reese to win via KO/TKO
