TAI TUIVASA VS JAIRZINHO ROZENSTRUIK LOWDOWN

This match in the heavyweight division sees number 10 ranked Tai Tuivasa face number 12 Jairzinho Rozenstruik and there is plenty on the line for the pair of them.

Tuivasa has long been a favourite in the UFC and has had some massive fights. He has however lost his last four on the spin and he desperately needs to snap that and get back in the win column. His opponents have all been top quality in Ciryl Gane, Sergei Pavlovich, Alexander Volkov and Marcin Tybura, but he cannot afford another loss if he wishes to remain relevant.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik is coming off a win last time out as he TKO’d Shamil Gaziev and that will give the 36-year-old Surinamese fighter plenty of confidence. 13 of his 14 wins have come via knockout and he will be looking for another here.

TAI TUIVASA VS JAIRZINHO ROZENSTRUIK PREDICTION

There will be fireworks in this fight and do not expect this to go the distance. In their 40 MMA fights combined, only five of them have gone to the scorecards and it seems unfathomable that this will.

Tuivasa (14-7) needs to a win after four losses in a row but he has looked vulnerable to knockouts and submissions. He will likely prefer to face Rozenstruik than his last two fights as he knows this will stay standing up.

Rozenstruik (14-5) is coming off a win but he has lost three of his last five. He may not quite have the desperation that Tuivasa has, but he comes into this in better shape

This really will come down to which fighter lands first with a serious power shot. They are both capable and it really could be that simple. Rozenstruik is the favourite with the bookmakers but the value lies with Tuivasa and for that reason, he is our pick.

PREDICTION: Tai Tuivasa to win by KO/TKO
