RAUL ROSAS JR VS CHRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ LOWDOWN
The UFC’s new favourite boy Raul Rosas Jr (7-0) returns for his second appearance on the big stage. He made his debut after earning a unanimous decision over Mando Gutierrez (2022) on the Contender Series and lived up to expectations at UFC 282 making quick work of Jay Perrin (2022) submitting him in the first round.
Christian Rodriguez (8-1) is the man being fed to the prospect. He made his UFC debut over a year ago sitting pretty on an unbeaten record. However, Jonathan Pearce spoiled his entrance with a unanimous decision. He returned in October and responded perfectly by wrapping Joshua Weems up in an Anaconda choke in the first round.

We have seen these matchups before with a young inexperienced prodigy placed on a stacked PPV card. The UFC are trying to build Rosas up and expect him to win which just makes this a giant opportunity for Rodriguez.
He is a dangerous striker with decent jiu-jitsu and has a chance, but Rosas’ grappling is for real. After watching Pearce’s fight against Rodriguez, we expect Rosas to be able to take him down with more ease and from there it is only a matter of time before he cinches up a submission.
