RANDY BROWN VS MUSLIM SALIKHOV LOWDOWN

Randy Brown (17-5) was in the form of his life until he met Jack Della Maddalena (2023) at UFC 284. He added Alex Oliveira (2021) Jared Gooden (2021), Khaos Williams (2022) and Francisco Trinaldo (2022) to the win column but the Aussie snapped the streak with a submission. However, he is already back on track with a unanimous decision over Wellington Turman back in June.

Muslim Salikhov (19-4) was also flying high compiling an impressive five-fight win streak. Li Jingliang (2022) snapped it emphatically inflicting Salikhov’s only knockout loss in MMA. Many wrote him off after that, but he silenced the critics by knocking Andre Fialho (2022) out with a vintage spinning wheel kick. However, he is coming off another loss which was a unanimous decision to Nicolas Dalby (2023).

RANDY BROWN VS MUSLIM SALIKHOV PREDICTION

Salikhov is as seasoned as it gets in the striking realm, and he will need all of that experience to negate the eight-inch reach and four-inch height advantage.

Brown fights long and will get behind his jab backing his speed to beat Salikhov to the punch. The striking contest should be a thrilling one, but we also expect them both to mix in some wrestling.

As the majority of this is likely to stay on the feet, it makes sense to back the elite striker. However, he has been showing signs of slowing down touching 40 years old. Brown should win this with his volume, but we feel all of the value is with the Russian as the hefty underdog.

Prediction: Brown via Decision

Value Bet: Salikhov to win
