Muhammad Naimov’s (11-2) last fight did not quite go as planned, but he walked away with another TKO extending his win streak to six. He met Erik Silva (2024) in Mexico City who injured his leg in the first round. That came after a unanimous decision over Nathaniel Wood (2023) and TKO over Jamie Mullarkey (2023) on debut.
He was scheduled to fight Melsik Baghdasaryan who had to pull out with injury giving Felipe Lima (12-1) the opportunity to make his UFC debut. He steps up on short notice riding a 12-fight win streak although he has only fought once 2021. That was a unanimous decision over Jonas Magard (2023) to become the Oktagon MMA bantamweight champion.

Lima is good enough to fight in the UFC but stepping up to featherweight on a few days’ notice to fight Naimov is a tall order and the odds are stacked against him.
The Brazilian is very aggressive and will hunt the finish which will be the correct approach considering the circumstances. He can pull off the upset, but Naimov is the bigger and more powerful fighter.
He has the power to knock Lima out but we expect him to call upon his grappling to take the Brazilian down and keep him there with his weight advantage. We can see a knockout with ground-and-pound or a submission.
