Magomed Gadzhiyasulov (8-0) finally makes his UFC debut. He has fought for a variety of promotions in Europe and Africa without suffering much adversity. He earnt is shot in the big leagues by passing his Contender Series audition with a unanimous decision win over Jose Medina (2023).
Brendson Ribeiro (15-6(1)) is more experienced but also completely unproven at the top level. He also earnt a place on the UFC roster with a Contender Series win. He made it three first-round knockouts in a row by picking off Bruno Lopes (2023). However, he received a taste of his own medicine on debut by getting smoked by Mingyang Zhang (2024) at UFC 298.

We expect these two to put on a show for however long it lasts. They are both aggressive strikers with knockout power. Ribeiro has the edge when it comes to jiu-jitsu and Gadzhiyasulov has the edge in the wrestling department which could make the difference.
They will begin by trading on the feet where either man can fall. Ribeiro boasts a significant six-inch reach advantage but that will not count for much if he does not protect his chin. Considering the odds, the Brazilian makes all the sense, but on paper you have to back the Russian who is more technical, defensively sound and has the takedowns to call upon to swing the bout in his favour if he needs to.
