LINA LANSBERG VS KAROL ROSA LOWDOWN
Fighting out of Vila Velha, Brazil, Karol Rosa (15-4) will be itching to get back in the win column. Rosa is coming off of a defeat against Sara McMann. The defeat to McMann was her first in the UFC. Prior to the defeat, Rosa won her first four fights in the UFC and will be desperate to get the win this weekend and establish some momentum.
As for her opponent this weekend, Lina Länsberg (10-6) is currently riding a two fight losing streak. After losing to Sara McMann nearly three years ago, Länsberg returned six months ago. However, she was unsuccessful on her return, losing to Pannie Kianzad via decision. At 40 years of age, it is fair to say that Länsberg does not have many fights left, so she will be itching to get back in the win column.

Heading into this weekend’s bantamweight bout, despite Länsberg having the height advantage, Rosa edges the reach department.
It is fair to say that this is a tough matchup for a veteran like Länsberg. She will no doubt struggle with Rosa’s pace from the get-go. Rosa lands more than twice as many significant strikes per minute. In the past, Länsberg has used her wrestling to get her out of trouble. Unfortunately, it won’t work this time around. From the off, we suspect that Rosa will look to control proceedings with her kickboxing and look to be the aggressor throughout the fight.
