KEVIN HOLLAND VS MICHAEL PAGE LOWDOWN

No one has been more active since Kevin Holland (25-10(1)) made his UFC debut back in 2018. He has made a staggering 20 appearances in that time going 12-7(1). That record has taken a hit in his last five going 2-3. He ended up being the unlucky man to fight Khamzat Chimaev (2022) at UFC 279 inevitably getting submitted and then eventually got TKO’d by Stephen Thompson (2022) three months later. He responded with two vintage performances knocking out Santiago Ponzinibbio (2023) and submitting Michael Chiesa (2023). However, he is coming off a split decision loss to Jack Della Maddalena back in September.

The time has finally come for Michael Page (21-2) to make his UFC debut. The kickboxing star lit up every arena he graced putting on shows like nobody else. Most notably for Bellator where he has gone 16-2. His losses were to Douglas Lima (2019) which he avenged with a razor thin split decision in 2021. That win capped off a six-fight win streak which Logan Stanley (2022) snapped with another split decision. ‘MVP’ has only fought once since where he ruined Goiti Yamauchi’s patella tendon with a savage kick.

KEVIN HOLLAND VS MICHAEL PAGE PREDICTION

Holland will be grateful he is not fighting a wrestler. However, the last time he decided to stand and trade with a kickboxer, it did not go well. Wonderboy lit him up and if he does not mix in his grappling, Page will do the same.

Page is similar to Thompson and is incredibly illusive. He can find the knockout from a variety of angles and ranges. Like Holland, he is also a showman, and we can see some antics between these two.

This will all come down to Holland’s game plan. His MMA experience is on another level to Page and if he mixes in his grappling, he could make this look easy. If he can get Page on his back, his jiu-jitsu will carve through him.

The worry for Holland is that he never seems to have a game plan and once Page begins his flashy attacks, Holland will rise to it and try to respond in kind. For this reason, Page is worth a punt and we feel he will create the openings he needs to cause the upset with Holland’s durability dragging this to the bell.

Prediction: Page via Decision

Value bet: Page to win
