KAROL ROSA VS PANNIE KIANZAD LOWDOWN

We have an excellent match-up in the Women’s Bantamweight division with Brazil’s Karol Rosa, ranked number eight, meeting Swedish fighter Pannie Kianzad who is ranked at number eleven.

Rosa brings a 17-6 record into this bout and she will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing to Irene Aldana back in December. The Brazilian has had some mixed results as she has faced a step up in quality opposition but she will fancy her chances of getting the W here.

Kianzad is 16-8 and has had a similar recent record. She has lost her last two fights to Ketlen Vieira in July 2023 by decision and was then submitted by Macy Chiasson in March. She needs a win to stay relevant in the division and there is plenty on the line for her coming into this one.

KAROL ROSA VS PANNIE KIANZAD PREDICTION

Both Rosa and Kianzad know they really do need to win here if they are to edge back up the rankings in the Bantamweight division so the pressure is on here.

Rosa’s better grappling skills may just give her the edge in this one. There is every chance this goes to the judges’ scorecards given 15 of Rosa’s 23 bouts have done so and 17 of Kianzad’s 24 bouts have.

Kianzad possesses some nice stand-up ability but Rosa should be able to get her to the ground enough to have the greater Octagon control and win this on the scorecards.

PREDICTION: Karol Rosa to win via decision
