JUNIOR TAFA VS VALTER WALKER LOWDOWN

New Zealander Junior Tafa will be fired up to compete at UFC 305 for plenty of reasons. He will be delighted to be fighting in Perth and will no doubt have plenty of family, friends and supporters on his side. He will also be desperate to get back in the win column after he was stopped by Marcos Rogerio de Lima at UFC 298 in February. That was just the second loss in his relatively short career and he will go all out for the win at the RAC Arena.

He faces Valter Walker who is coming off the only loss of his career. Coming into this bout with a record of 11-1, Walker made his UFC debut after winning his first 11 pro MMA bouts, but he lost via the judges’ scorecards to Lukasz Brzeski back in April. He will be eager to get his first win in the Octagon now.

JUNIOR TAFA VS VALTER WALKER PREDICTION

This is one of those hugely exciting heavyweight fights that has stoppage written all over it. Tafa’s five MMA wins have all come via KO/TKO and he will be looking to take Walker’s head off early.

Walker has plenty of power of his own with six knockouts coming in his 11 wins. He will feel he can edge things in terms of stamina also having gone the distance in five of his fights. That could be a route to victory for him if he can tire Tafa and take him deep.

Tafa should have the edge in speed and power however despite giving up some height and weight. That could be what makes the difference for the Kiwi and we expect him to get the stoppage and win. If you are less certain about the winner, back the fight not to go the distance.

PREDICTION: Junior Tafa to win by KO/TKO
