Nicknamed ‘The Fearless’, Joshua Van is ranked 19th in the top flyweight MMA rankings at this stage. Since making his debut back in 2020, he has fought 11 times with ten victories and one defeat so far. He now faces the number 21 who, at 33-years-old, has fought 21 times in his career with 15 victories and six defeats thus far. Despite the fact these fighters are only separated by just two places in their divisional rankings, this one does seem to be a lobsided contest. Joshua Van was very impressive in his defeat of Felipe Benes last time out, whilst Johnson would probably fairly be described as more of a ‘journeyman’ fighter as he enters into his mid-30’s. Joshua Van is the heavy favourite here and should win the bout quite comfortably.
