JOSH QUINLAN VS ADAM FUGITT LOWDOWN

Josh Quinlan (6-2(1)) arrived to the UFC with a bang back in 2022. That noise was his left hook clattering Jason Witt’s jaw at UFC on ESPN 41. However, he has not won since losing a unanimous decision to Trey Waters (2023) and getting knocked out by Danny Barlow (2024) at UFC 298.

Adam Fugitt (9-4) has received three tough UFC fights. His debut was against one of the biggest welterweight prospects in Michael Morales (2022) who snapped a four-fight win streak with a TKO. He was then handed the dangerous Yusaku Kinoshita (2023) who he knocked out in the first round but then he was handed another killer in Mike Malott (2023) who submitted him at UFC 289.

JOSH QUINLAN VS ADAM FUGITT PREDICTION

Witt is a good fighter to inflate your stock with although Quinlan still possesses knockout power which Fugitt has to respect.

We expect them both to have a takedown in their game plan, but the majority of this should be contested on the feet. Quinlan will look to enforce the pace with constant movement. Fugitt also likes to enforce the pressure and is more likely to shoot in for the takedown.

We can see Fugitt walking onto a Quinlan bomb, but we can also see Fugitt land multiple takedowns. This is very close to call, so Fugitt is the smart pick as the underdog, but we are backing Quinlan’s athleticism and defensive grappling to be enough to earn a decision at least.

Prediction: Quinlan via Decision

Value Bet: Fugitt to win
