Ian Machado Garry (14-0) continues his friendless quest up the welterweight rankings protecting his unblemished record. He has seven UFC bouts under the belt now and has risen with the level of competition brilliantly. His head kick knockout over Daniel Rodriguez (2023) cemented his prospect status and he went on to dominate veteran Neil Magny (2023) and earn a split decision over Geoff Neal (2024).
Michael Page (22-2) fills the pairing to the surprise of many fans. The British star is coming off his successful UFC debut where he outclassed Kevin Holland in a unanimous decision at UFC 299. He was 36 years old at the time, so does not have much time to make a splash in the UFC, but has already made his name under the Bellator banner with a plethora of spectacular finishes.

Garry could not quite persuade Colby Covington to sign the contract and now has a completely different matchup. Page is one of the most unique strikers on the roster. He has a karate style relying on his movement, speed and reactions to matador his opponents and snipe with killer accuracy with a spectacular array of strikes creating one of the best highlight reels in combat sport.
Garry is also a confident and rangy striker. He is not on Page’s level but he still has speed, power and vicious kicks. That said, now would be the best time to bring out his grappling.
Garry comes from a judo background and has the ability to toss Page to the canvas and hold top position while raining down ground-and-pound. However, Page does not let anybody get close to him. His reaction time and speed is slowing but it is still lightening fast which makes this a tough matchup for Garry.
Garry is the favourite and is improving with each fight with youth and confidence on his side. We can see this going to a razor thin decision and being rather uneventful with him swaying the judges with his output.
However, you cannot overlook Garry’s mediocre defence and Page’s accuracy. As the underdog, the Brit makes all the sense.
