CODY BRUNDAGE VS TRESEAN GORE LOWDOWN
Cody Brundage (7-2) is 2-2 in his last four. He got TKO’d by William Knight (2020) on the Contender Series and then appeared for the Legacy Fighting Alliance to wrap Joseph Kropschot (2021) up in a beautiful arm triangle. The UFC then came calling asking him to fill in for Karl Roberson to take on Nick Maximov (2021) at UFC 266. His debut did not go his way losing a unanimous decision, but he bounced back brilliantly in a tough match up in Dalcha Lungiambula (2022) submitting him in the first round.
Tresean Gore (3-1) is coming off a deflating debut. We first saw him on The Ultimate Fighter last year and he was the favourite to win only to suffer an injury and give up his spot in the finale. He eventually made his UFC debut back in February taking on the winner Bryan Battle for the unofficial final. He was the favourite again but got outclassed losing a unanimous decision.
CODY BRUNDAGE VS TRESEAN GORE PREDICTION
Brundage is a very strong grappler and we can expect him to bring his wrestling boots. He is a good Muay Thai striker, but Gore’s power is no joke and and he only needs to connect once to switch the lights off.
What swings this firmly in Gore’s favour for us is that he is also a very strong wrestler. We back him to fend off the majority of takedowns creating room to unleash his hands. He is only four fights deep into his professional career, but he is improving rapidly especially at the MMA lab and Fight Ready gyms. We are backing him to get the dub and may just get his UFC career off the ground with a knockout.
