BILLY QUARANTILLO VS DAMON JACKSON LOWDOWN
It has been a topsy turvy few years for Billy Quarantillo (17-5) but when he has been on, he has looked exceptional. The rocky run started when het lost a unanimous decision to Gavin Tucker (2020). He responded with a brilliant TKO over Gabriel Benitez (2021) but then lost another unanimous decision to Shane Burgos (2021). He bounced back with another emphatic TKO over Alexander Hernandez (2022) but is now coming off the most devastating loss of his career after swallowing a ruthless Edson Barboza (2023) knee.
He now hopes to keep the win/loss run going as he takes on Damon Jackson (22-5-1(1)). He is also coming off a devastating knockout loss. He met Dan Ige back in January off the back off a brilliant four-fight win streak capped off by a brilliant TKO over Pat Sabatini (2022). However, he got absolutely smoked in the second round by Ige to abruptly stop the run.

They are both very well-rounded with their strengths lying in their grappling. Quarantillo is a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Jackson is a purple belt although he has 15 submission wins to his name.
They both like to use the striking to set up takedowns and pounce on submissions in the scrambles. We can see their skills cancelling each other out forcing a stand-up battle. Do not expect fireworks, but steady outputs from both men.
They are very evenly matched, and we expect Quarantillo’s volume and pace to sway the judges. In a fight this close, always back the underdog.
