ALEX REYES VS CHARLIE CAMPBELL LOWDOWN
Alex Reyes (13-3) finally returns to action after six years out of the game. Back then, he made his UFC debut stepping up on just three days’ notice to fight Mike Perry (2017). He got slept in the first-round swallowing a hellacious knee. He then had a fight with Nasrat Haqparast fall through six months later and then contracted an e-coli infection and various injuries. So, things have not gone very well for him since his debut and now he is looking to make up for lost time.
Natan Levy has also been struggling to catch break and had to pull out of his fight with Reyes. Fortunately, Charlie Campbell (7-2) has stepped up and makes his debut. We first saw him on the receiving end of that crazy comeback knockout delivered by Chris Duncan (2022) on the Contender Series. Now, he snatched his opportunity to remind people that he is the knockout artist and is coming off his fifth knockout win which was over Josh Streacker for CFFC back in June.

They are both cut from the same cloth and always hunt the finish. Reyes has only gone to a decision once in his career and was steamrolling his opponents before stepping up to welterweight to take on the granite Perry. However, after six years out suffering from illness and injuries, it is very hard to know how he will perform.
That said, we do expect him to call upon his wrestling. Campbell has been active and knocking opponents out for fun. He is an accurate striker with ferocious leg kicks. His power can really capitalize on any rustiness from Reyes especially if he starts quickly.
We can see Reyes getting this done with the help of his wrestling and catching Campbell’s chin when he lowers his hands. However, it is hard to back someone who has been out for six years and we are backing the more active fighter.
Prediction: Campbell via KO/TKO
