CÉSAR ALMEIDA: BRAZILIAN LOOKS TO BOUNCE BACK FROM FIRST MMA LOSS
36-year-old Cesar Almeida is coming of his first professional MMA loss as a split decision went against him when he fought Roman Kopylov at UFC 302 in June. That came after five successive wins after he transitioned from kickboxing into MMA. He amassed an impressive 47-8-1 (with one no contest) record in kickboxing and is looking to make inroads in MMA now. He earned a UFC contract via the Contender Series just over a year ago and he will now look to build on his 5-1 record.
IHOR POTIERIA: EXCITING UKRAINIAN NEEDS WIN AFTER POOR RUN
Ukranian 28-year-old Ihor Potieria (20-6) is another that came through Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2021 but he has largely struggled in the UFC. He comes off a submission loss at the hands of Michel Pereira at UFC 301 and that means he has now lost four of his six fights in the organisation.

Styles make fights and the kickboxer Cesar Almeida meets the powerful Ihor Potieria which should make for a really entertaining match-up in this one. Potieira has good punching power and a decent range of submissions but Almeida could simply be too slick for him here. Potieria may not be a best technician around and that is why we favour Almeida here. The Ukrainian has a puncher’s chance unquestionably, but Almeida’s leg kicks and ability to fight at the perfect range should see him cause Potieira all kinds of problems.
