New West Ham manager Paul Konchesky faces a seriously daunting task to start the season, finding a way to stop the juggernaut that is Emma Hayes’ Chelsea, the reigning WSL champions. The Blues haven’t rested on their laurels, strengthening significantly across the summer, signing the likes of Kadeisha Buchanan, Johanna Rytting and Jelena Cankovic to name a few. Add them to established Chelsea names such as Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr and you have a formidable side. Whilst it may take the hosts some time to gel initially, they should still prove far too strong for West Ham so back Chelsea to win by at least two clear goals.
