Man City’s main goal this season will be to go one better than they did in last season’s UEFA Champions League, which saw them beaten in the final by fellow Premier League side Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s side will need to be on their guard against RB Leipzig, however the Bundesliga outfit have not made a strong start to the season under new head coach Jesse Marsch with three defeats from their opening four league games, including a 1-4 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich most recently and this doesn’t bode well for them when coming up against a side of Man City’s class. The strength-in-depth that Guardiola can call upon among his squad will once again make them a formidable outfit in Europe this season and any result other than a home victory by at least two clear goals here would be a surprise.
