St Gallen come into this on the back of a 4-3 defeat away to Lausanne just before the international break. That high-scoring encounter was the third game in a row in which St Gallen had been involved in a game with four or more goals in; the previous two being a 2-2 draw at home to Young Boys and a 4-2 defeat away to Luzern.
