LEGANES PREVIEW: STRUGGLING LEGA

Following promotion to the top-flight of Spanish football last season, Leganes have started the campaign quite badly despite having kept hold of young and exciting coach Borja Gimenez. The Madrid-based club begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just outside of the bottom three and the relegation places.

The home team have managed just one victory in their opening ten matches so far this season. They are the lowest scorers in La Liga with just six goals scored in their ten games. Lega come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat in a Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano last weekend in their most recent outing.

CELTA VIGO PREVIEW: SILKY CELTA

Former Real Madrid and Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez struggled throughout last season and was eventually sacked with the Galicians firmly involved in La Liga’s relegation battle, replaced by B team coach Claudio Giraldez, who steered them away from the bottom three and the relegation places with an impressive and entertaining style of football.

That impressive and entertaining style of football has produced 34 goals in Celta’s ten matches so far this season. The Galicians come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to Real Madrid at Balaidos last weekend in their most recent outing and they have managed just one win in their last five matches in La Liga.

LEGANES TEAM NEWS: NO CONFIRMED ABSENTEES

The home team have no definite or confirmed injury concerns or suspension issues for this weekend’s clash with Celta Vigo with just one injury doubt for this one.

LEGANES VS CELTA VIGO PREDICTION

Leganes are, as mentioned, the lowest scorers in La Liga so far this season with just six goals scored but Borja Jimenez’ side are trying to play a front foot and entertaining style of football. The home team come into this one expecting a turnaround to come soon and they will need Butarque to be behind them. Celta are thrilling to watch with their attacking 3-4-3 system and both teams scoring would seem a good bet for this one in the capital.
