BARCELONA PREVIEW: BARCA TRYING TO GET BACK

After another turbulent summer off the pitch in which Barcelona could only register new signing Dani Olmo this week ahead of their clash with Rayo Vallecano as a result of letting Ilkay Gundogan depart on a free transfer, Barca have started the Hansi Flick extremely impressively with a 100% record after three matches.

The aforementioned Dani Olmo came off the bench to make his competitive Blaugrana debut in midweek and he scored the winning goal as Barca came from behind to defeat Rayo Vallecano at Vallecas. That win followed two other 2-1 victories as they came from behind at Valencia on the opening day and then also saw off Athletic Club.

REAL VALLADOLID PREVIEW: VALLADOLID STARTING STEADILY

Last season, Real Valladolid gained automatic promotion back to La Liga under the management of Uruguayan coach Paolo Pezzolano, who they have been able to retain the services of this summer. Owned by Ronaldo, who is also club president, Valladolid will have ambitions of avoiding even the hint of a relegation battle.

Their campaign began brightly on the opening weekend of the season as they defeated last year’s Segunda playoff winners Espanyol by a goal to nil at the Jose Zorrilla before then putting up a good fight in a 3-0 loss to Real Madrid with a second-string side before then sharing a goalless draw with another newly-promoted side in Leganes at the weekend.

BARCELONA VS REAL VALLADOLID PREDICTION

As Real Valladolid travel to Estadi Olympic Lluis Companys, Barcelona are looking to head into the September international break on the back of four successive victories. The Blaugrana have not quite clicked into gear from the off in a game this season but have finished well. Valladolid will go against their principles to look solid after playing at Madrid last week and doing the same but, despite that, Barca should still comfortably come out on top.
