Zenit’s charge for the title was halted by an international break that they went into on the back of of back-to-back victories in which they scored seven goals. The 3-2 win over CSKA in their most recent match will please them as they came from a goal behind. They come up against a Khimki side in excellent form. A 3-1 away win at Rubin Kazan means they are now ten games without a defeat that has led them from relegation trouble into mid-table with aims of potential European qualification. Zenit will still anticipate victory but over 2.5 goals would also be a good bet for this one.
