THE LOWDOWN
TORINO
Former Hellas Verona boss Ivan Juric has been criticised as manager as Torino for creating a team that has flattered to deceive. The Turin club finished firmly in the middle-of-the-table last season and they were lacking goals, having failed to replace the goals of Italy and Roma striker Andrea Belotti, following his departure.
They started this season in similarly underwhelming style but have gradually began to turn their form around in these early stages. After collecting just a point and scoring just one goal in their opening two matches against AC Milan and newly-promoted Cagliari, they have since enjoyed back-to-back victories against Genoa and Salernitana to leap into the top-half of the table.
ROMA
In his third season as Roma manager, Jose Mourinho appeared to be repeating the same issues at previous clubs with uncertainty over his future and an insistence on attacking the club for not spending enough money over the summer. They eventually signed Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea in the final few days of the transfer window.
The capital city club began the campaign by collecting just one point from their opening three matches before the September international break. However, they now come into this one on the back off a 7-0 thrashing of Empoli, equalling Roma’s biggest ever win in the Italian top-flight. Since then they have defeated Sheriff Tiraspol by two goals to one.

THE PREDICTION
A few weeks ago this may have seemed like a very close encounter between two evenly matched and underperforming sides but both teams have had a massive up turn in their form. Torino’s improvement in form with back-to-back victories have come late on or against poor opposition, whilst Roma have also managed a heavy win against a poor team but that heavy win was a ridiculous 7-0 scoreline. The visitors are favourites for what should be a low-scoring encounter in Turin.
