JUVENTUS PREVIEW: SLICK AND CLEAR PHILOSOPHY

After leading Bologna to fifth place and, remarkably, UEFA Champions League qualification last season, Thiago Motta departed the club and left for Juventus as the Old Lady seek to become younger and fresher this season with a proactive and progressive style of football that already looks to have taken hold of the squad.

The Bianconeri began the campaign by welcoming newly-promoted Como to the J Stadium in Turin on the opening weekend and they swept them aside by three goals to nil before they then travelled to the fair city of Verona and the Bentegodi to hammer Hellas Verona by the same scoreline.

ROMA PREVIEW: A TOUCH OF THE SOLSKJAER’S

Club legend Daniele De Rossi took charge of Roma in January after the sacking of Jose Mourinho and initially managed to propel the Giallorossi up the table before they finished the season quite poorly. After a difficult summer transfer window, the Romans have started this season really poorly.

There are similarities between De Rossi’s bright start before fading and previously poor managerial career and that of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s at Manchester United. Roma began with a 1-1 draw against Cagliari in Sardinia before then suffering a shock 2-1 defeat to Empoli at the Stadio Olimpico in the capital city last weekend.

JUVENTUS TEAM NEWS: STRONG DESPITE ISSUES

This week, in a very busy end to the summer transfer window, Juventus have been able to bring in the likes of Nicolas Gonzalez, Francisco Conceicao and Teun Koopmeiners so will be able to field all three if they so choose.

Thiago Motta has been left frustrated with scorer from the opening day, Timothy Weah, out injured, whilst another new signing Khephren Thuram is also sidelined for the hosts.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Di Gregorio; Cambiaso, Gatti, Bremer, Juan Cabal; Locatelli, Douglas Luiz; Gonzalez, Yildiz, Mbangula; Vlahovic

UNAVAILABLE: Arthur (Suspended), Thuram (Injured), Weah (Injured), Milik (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Adzic (Injured)

ROMA TEAM NEWS: UNKNOWN ROMANS

At the time of writing, a couple of days before the end of the summer transfer window, Roma’s line-up could be shaken up before the deadline with potential incomings and also possible departures such as Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham.

As De Rossi searches for the winning formula that gave him a spurt at the beginning of his tenure, the visitors do remain without midfielder Enzo le Fee due to injury for this one.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Ndicka, Tasende; Cristante, Paredes, Pellegrini; Dybala, Matias Soule; Dovbyk

UNAVAILABLE: Le Fee (Injured)

JUVENTUS VS ROMA PREDICTION

When Juventus have faced Roma in recent seasons it has often appeared to be a bit of an even contest with Juve on the slide and Roma trying to push back into the top four and earn UEFA Champions League qualification. However, this time around, it appears like quite a one-sided affair with Juve returning to being quite dominant but being a very different way and playing quite an entertaining manner so Juve are firm favourites, especially with their home advantage.

JUVENTUS VS ROMA TIP: JUVENTUS TO WIN
