HELLAS VERONA PREVIEW: ZANETTI AND VERONA

In January, the financial police Italy ceased the company that owns Hellas Verona and they were forced to sell a lot of first-team players in the transfer window. Despite that, Marco Baroni somehow propelled them away from the bottom three and the relegation places, surviving with relative ease in the end.

Baroni departed for Lazio this summer and was replaced by former Empoli boss Paolo Zanetti. It has been a relatively strong start to the season for Verona, too, with two victories and two defeats in their opening four matches. They do come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico at the weekend.

TORINO PREVIEW: VANOLI AND TORINO

For the last couple of seasons, Torino have been strong with a possession-based style of football but they have often struggled to score goals at an efficient rate. Ivan Juric departed in the summer after finishing with eighth but scoring just 36 goals in the entirety of last year and he was replaced by Paolo Vanoli.

The Antonio Conte disciple, who gained promotion with Venezia last season, started the campaign with a 2-2 draw at AC Milan when they did lead 2-0 in the 89th minute before back-to-back victories against Atalanta and Venezia. They were, though, held to a frustrating goalless draw by Lecce in Turin last weekend.

HELLAS VERONA TEAM NEWS: FRESE AND SERDAR OUT

Verona have been dealing with a key injury to Suat Serdar all season but now his replacement in a deeper midfield role, Ondrej Duda, is also sidelined through injury for this weekend.

As well as those two, Verona are also without summer signing Martin Frese. He is injured alongside long-term absentee Juan Manuel Cruz as well as Tomas Suslov.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Milinkovic-Savic; Walukiewicz, Saul Coco, Masina; Pedersen, Ricci, Linetty, Ilic, Lazaro; Duvan Zapata, Adams

HELLAS VERONA VS TORINO PREDICTION

Hellas Verona have, as mentioned, started this season very well but they have been expected to struggle throughout this campaign. Two wins from four games is more than what they would have asked for and they put in a good performance against Lazio last week. Torino are unbeaten but will be frustrated too have been held to a goalless draw against Lecce last weekend. Verona have been strong but Torino appear a far superior and more efficient side than they have been.
