NORWAY PREVIEW: WIN OVER AUSTRIA TAKES NORWAY UP TO SECOND-PLACE
Following a frustrating 0-0 draw vs Kazakhstan, Norway responded in the best possible way, beating Austria 2-1 in Oslo. Unsurprisingly, it was Erling Haaland who scored the winning goal after the hosts had initially been pegged back by Ralph Rangnick’s side following Felix Myhre’s opener. Now level on points with Slovenia, a win here would be huge for the promotion aspirations of Norway and despite injury ruling out Martin Odegaard, Haaland and Sorloth together in attack should cause chaos for their opponents.
SLOVENIA PREVIEW: TABLE TOPPERS FACE TOUGHEST CHALLENGE YET
Like Norway, Slovenia boasts an ace of their own upfront in Benjamin Sesko. It was his hat-trick that sealed a 3-0 triumph against Kazakhstan, taking Slovenia to four points following their previous 1-1 draw at home to Austria, with Sesko scoring in that game as well. Whilst they face a huge test defensively over the course of this next match, Sesko may well play a defining role on the counter-attack in particular.
