THE PREDICTION
Both of these sides have had ‘iffy preparations’. Belgium’s 1-1 draw against Greece in midweek followed the news that Roberto Martinez confirmed Kevin de Bruyne will definitely miss at least the first match of the tournament against Russia. Croatia, on the other hand, have had to deal with the extra confusion over Luka Ivanusec who was named in the squad, played in the under 21 Euro knockouts, had a knock, was fine and then remained in the squad whilst the senior team drew 1-1 at home to Armenia. Neither side will be in great form and both will be looking for a formula however Belgium should be the strong favourites.
