UNION BERLIN PREVIEW: BACK TO OVER ACHIEVING

In the last few seasons, Union Berlin have been promoted to the Bundesliga for the firs time ever before progressing through the UEFA Europa Conference League, the UEFA Europa League and then into the UEFA Champions League.

They then collapsed last season but have regained their overachieving form this time around to begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting tucked inside the top five in the Bundesliga after a 2-0 defeat of Holstein Kiel last weekend.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT PREVIEW: UNCONVINCING RUN

Eintracht Frankfurt, coached by Dino Toppmoller, begin the eighth match day of the Bundesliga campaign sitting tucked inside the top six of the table. They have started the season very well but come into this one on the back of an indifferent run of form.

They have collected just a point from their last two Bundesliga matches but those two games have been against Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen. They did edge past Rigas Futbola Skola by a goal to nil in the UEFA Europa League in midweek.

UNION BERLIN VS EINTRACHT FRANKFURT PREDICTION

Union Berlin have been performing back above expectation this season as they chase European qualification but they have been doing so in quite a dull manner with just eight goals scored and four goals conceded. Eintracht Frankfurt, on the other hand, have given both Bayern and Leverkusen a real game with their more entertaining style of football. Union’s strategy may work over the course of a season but in a one-off game between two generally seemingly evenly matched sides, a double chance bet in favour of the visitors would appear good value.

UNION BERLIN VS EINTRACHT FRANKFURT TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE – EINTRACHT FRANKFURT TO WIN OR DRAW
