THE PREDICTION

A hard-fought 1-0 win for Borussia Dortmund over Arminia Bielefeld last time out sees them travel to Mainz in good shape, particularly when taking into account the cameos from both Gio Reyna and Erling Haaland off the bench this past weekend. The latter is expected to start this time round and could be afforded much joy against a Mainz squad recently ravaged by a wave of Covid which has seen their last two Bundesliga fixtures postponed including this rearranged contest. Whilst Marco Rose’s side are still not at full strength due to absences related to injuries or Covid, they should still prove strong enough to overcome Mainz in this one.
