But their side had other ideas, pulling a goal back deep into first half stoppage time before shocking the hosts with a second half equaliser. The newly promoted club survived the forthcoming avalanche of attacks from the title-holders to escape the BayArena with a precious point.
Such a result and the manner of their comeback must have done wonders for the confidence, spirit and belief of the Holstein Kiel dressing room and following the international break, it will be interesting what we see from them.

Union Berlin currently sit just outside of the top six and European places and will look to try and break into that group across this weekend. They’ve certainly got the quality to make it happen, as shown during their recent 2-1 triumph over Nuri Sahin’s Borussia Dortmund in the German capital.
