HEIDENHEIM PREVIEW: PERFECT RECORD FINALLY AT AN END

Heidenheim had won all five games in all competitions heading into an away clash with Borussia Dortmund in the last round of Bundesliga fixtures. However, that run came to an end as the Heidenheim backline were overwhelmed by Dortmund’s pace and ability in attack.

Whilst they rallied after going two goals behind, it proved too steep a task to overcome and Heidenheim eventually fell to a 4-2 defeat. The result saw them knocked off the top of the Bundesliga, putting them now in fourth-place.

FREIBURG PREVIEW: ADAMU BRACE GETS FREIBURG BACK TO WINNING WAYS

After being beaten at the hands of Bayern Munich, it was crucial for Freiburg to bounce back strongly at home and indeed they did. After falling behind on the stroke of half-time against Bochum. Freiburg came out fighting in the second-half and were duly rewarded.

Two goals inside just three minutes for forward Junior Adamu turned the game around and led Julian Schuster’s side to three precious points. Now the key is gaining some consistency and backing that up with another positive result here in Heidenheim.

HEIDENHEIM VS FREIBURG PREDICTION

Heidenheim’s attacking potency across the campaign so far has been the most impressive thing about a side who continue to defy expectations. A total of 17 goals in all competitions is testament to that and a game is yet to go by where Heidenheim have not scored at least two goals, making them extremely tough to beat.

Although such offensive quality will be hard to keep at bay, Freiburg boasts a number of impressive weapons themselves going forward and aside from their defeat away at Bayern Munich, have also not gone a game without finding the net at least twice. The expectation is that we will see a fairly open encounter here as both sides play to their strengths, so back the pair of them to score at least once.
