BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH PREVIEW: CONSECUTIVE DEFEATS BUILD PRESSURE ON GLADBACH

It’s been a tough stretch recently for Borussia Monchengladbach, who after being beaten 1-3 by Stuttgart, most recently took on Eintracht Frankfurt and came away with nothing, losing by two goals to nil. They are currently conceding two goals-per-game on average across the Bundesliga season so far.

Gerardo Seoane brings his team back to BORUSSIA-PARK for this one and after their last fixtures at home were against the top two teams last season, they’ll hope to finally give their fans something to cheer about.

UNION BERLIN PREVIEW: UNBEATEN RECORD UNDER SVENSSON STILL INTACT

Union Berlin continue to show why they are one of the strongest sides defensively across the entire German top flight with just two goals conceded from four so far. Two of their most recent three ended with them keeping clean sheets and since Bo Svensson took over as head coach they are still yet to lose.

Last weekend, Union took on Hoffenheim and essentially settled the match with two goals inside the first ten minutes. After shocking the visitors with that early burst, Hoffenheim never recovered and despite pulling a goal back, the three points stayed with Union.

BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH VS UNION BERLIN PREDICTION

An intriguing contest lies ahead between these two teams. Although Borussia Monchengladbach have lost three of their four league games so far, they boast home advantage and following two defeats on their own ground already this season, the importance of a positive result here from their perspective is notable. Union Berlin are proving extremely difficult to beat and don’t need to take any huge risks here. In the end, a draw may not be the worst result for either side and backing that outcome is worth considering.
