THE PREDICTION

Bayern Munich travel to Borussia Dortmund no doubt still stung following their shock exit from the DFB-Pokal this past Wednesday to third tier opposition in Saarbrucken. Hardly ideal preparation for ‘Der Klassiker’, which they’ll have to contest without suspended captain Joshua Kimmich and defender Matthijs de Ligt, who suffered a knee injury in what was a truly miserable night for the ‘Rekordmeister’.

Hosts Dortmund will no doubt be smelling blood and against a weakened Bayern backline, are expected to do some damage to the German champions, who have never looked convincing defensively under Thomas Tuchel, particularly on the road. However, with perennial goalscorer Harry Kane back in the starting line-up following his midweek rest from the bench, Bayern stand a great chance and another thrilling contest awaits. Back both teams to score for the ninth consecutive fixture in all competitions between these two great rivals.

TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
