Both of these struggling sides could really do with a win to end the year. Mainz are yet to taste victory at home this season, collecting just two points from their six league games at the OPEL Arena. They have won just one of their last 13 Bundesliga matches overall. Werder Bremen’s form is even worse - they went down to their fourth consecutive defeat at home to Borussia Dortmund in midweek and have not won since early October. Florian Kohfeldt’s side do normally score, though, and it must be said they have had some tough fixtures against in-form teams lately, so on paper the visitors look to have the edge here.
