NANTES PREVIEW: NEGLECTED NANTES
Last season, Nantes sacked both Jocelyn Gourvennac and Pierre Aristouy before the re-appointment of former boss Antoine Kombouare helped them eventually steer away from the bottom three and the danger zone. They begin the weekend sitting in the bottom-half after a difficult recent run of form.
The home team come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat to high-flying Strasbourg in their most recent outing at Stade de la Meinau. They are now winless in their last six matches in Ligue 1 after they had begun the campaign with back-to-back victories after losing on the opening day of the campaign.
MARSEILLE PREVIEW: FRUSTRATED MARSEILLE
Former Brighton and Hove Albion, Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk manager Roberto De Zerbi has created an Olympique de Marseille squad of quite controversial characters that had been expected to mount a serious title challenge this season but instead begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting six points behind Paris Saint-Germain at the top-of-the-able.
Marseille come into this one on the back of a 3-0 defeat to PSG at Stade Velodrome in their most recent outing, last weekend. That loss came on the back of annihilating Montpellier Herault by five goals to nil. Their entertaining nine matches so far this season have consisted of 32 goals in Ligue 1.
NANTES TEAM NEWS: NO SIMON
Nantes have no injury concerns or suspension and disciplinary issues for this weekend as there are no fresh absentees after Kombouare’s recent fall outs with several first-teamers.
The home team are missing just one man due to an injury issue with that being Nigeria international forward Moses Simon, who has picked up something of a minor concern.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Lafont; Coco, Castelletto, Zeze, Cozza; Douglas Augusto, Gbamin; Thomas, Kadewere, Abline; Mostafa Mohamed

NANTES VS MARSEILLE PREDICTION
After starting the season so well, Nantes have completely collapsed with off-field in-fighting contributing to poor performances and results on the pitch as they sink down into the bottom-half. Marseille have a frustrating inconsistency but will also believe they have enough to get back on track even with the absence of Amine Harit. The pressure is on the visitors but they should have enough to get themselves another victory in this one in Nantes.
